Position – Scrum Half
A talented athlete, he was voted Welsh AAA most promising athlete award 1964, and the English Schools 200 yard hurdles title.
He shared with Gerald Davies the Welsh try scoring record of 20 tries.
Captained Wales on 13 occasions (including the 100th International to be played at the Cardiff Arms Park on 19th January 1974).
Three British Lions Tours – playing 8 games in 1968 tour to South Africa, 15 games in New Zealand in 1971 and 15 games in South Africa in 1974.
He is a passionate angler – having represented Wales in the Sport.
He is widely regarded as the greatest player of all time, and kindly agreed to officially open the WREX room in the Millennium Stadium.
