WD Morris (Dai Morris)
Dai Morris is one of the most popular and modest men to have ever worn the red jersey of Wales. He was a player of amazing fitness and commitment. His nickname ‘The Shadow’ was earned due to him never being more than a metre or so from the ball when he played for Wales.He first played rugby at Gadlys Secondary School, Aberdare. He then joined Rhigos before going onto Glynneath, and eventually to Neath RFC.
He spent his entire senior career with the Welsh All-Black scoring 150 tries in over 13 seasons for the club. His first cap was against France in 1967 as a No.8, but his most memorable moments were in the No.6 jersey for Wales.

In a period called the Golden Era of Welsh rugby he toured Argentina, New Zealand, Australia, Fiji and Canada. His final appearance was against England in 1974, bringing an end, to the career of a player acclaimed by his peers as the ‘Finest Back Row’ NEVER to have represented the British Lions.
His rugby life has gone a full circle, and he is back helping Rhigos rugby club. He is heavily involved in the training of racehorses, with considerable success
